I use photoshop to color correct my photos and to create surrealistic blends...when I was growing up I hung out with painters and always marvelled out their beautiful creations...I was busy making music and writing poetry so I didn't have time to master the art of painting...when photoshop came along it allowed me to express visual ideas that I had in my head...as a history major, I was always reading books about all these great artists and I would just trip out on their views of reality...
