Seeing in the backyard...

The leaves are still down so the light can bisect with a sharp tongue through the trees whipping elongated shadows through the ground...you can see the buds wanting to explode but the chill that has gripped this country has mutated their appearance...americans on the move...americans go fast...I just love seeing the light unfold in the backyard...I don't have much power...I don't have much of anything...people so consumed by the image virus...see what that got them over the last ten years...

Cold Spring

It's been a cold spring...the economy sucks...the bankers have ripped us all off...girls don't put out like they use to...the country just becomes stupider...still to see in the landscape what a beauty...like the man in the blue wind breaker...he has been here forever...he has a down from where Bowie used to live...I remember meeting him and his wife up at the top of the hill when the the Bridge had just started...they never watched the show...nobody ever does...and still it goes on...like this cold spring...

study of light over three days...wrapped in the cold hand of the qua...morning light...afternoon light...twilight...streaking through the trees...a late spring...soon the trees will clothe the forest with its outstretched leaves...bringing mystery back...privacy...so forth and so forth..

Patti Smith at the City Winery...

I saw Patti Smith on Sunday at the City Winery...this was after an afternoon of riding around the city....up the west side all the way to the George Washington bridge and then over to St. Nicholas avenue riding through the hood then over to the east side down along side the east river...sunny april day...New York doing the stroll...then up to Jeff's where I had a 12 pack of pbr's chilled...I had eaten all day and six of them went down smoothly...mixing with the endorphin's it propelled me into a magical buzz...I felt the spirit then and walked over to the City Winery while the sun was setting...I got there just in time before the show...in the cosmic connection my seat was right behind Jeff's...

outside on the inside movie....I told her I had pictures of the woods...indeed, I do...over 45,000 of them within the last two years...you would think she would admire my dedication...instead it put up a red flag..."what's this guy up to," her eyes said...there was nothing to reply to that so I let it rest...we were talking about the temple and how I was saying it was evil of them to tear down the woods...she said it wasn't evil but to me it is...not the people themselves...that would be racist and bigoted...but their over all actions are evil...they have no regard for the mystery of that land...
