I stumbled upon a book of photographs by the photography by the photographer Helen Levitt in the Qua library entitled "Here and There."
It has a forward from the New Yorker writer Adam Gropnix where he describes her work in the following manner "Uniquely, Helen Levitt walks and the rest of us are watched as walkers, too. She is the walker in the city with a camera at her side."
I liked that description. I do a lot of walking around New York as well with my camera...I am attracted to picureque light which frames people in a moment existential beauty...
