About seeing...
I used to read books about seeing...deep books...smart books...you know, like Derrida...barzun...foucalt...while everyone thought I was drugged out I actually was just exploring ideas...now, it's a heavy thing to go exploring idea...especially if you ride them out to their conclusion...it can get lonely and crazy out there...this isn't France after all...or Venice Beach...but seeing can be so magical at times and that's when it's worth it...
Smithereens "Blood and Roses"
love was never easy
but looking back it was so much easier
then it is now
sluts in bars
and coked out mirrors
blood and roses
into the shimmering black abyss of
nothing
I rode like a white knight
writing words on napkins
to Mount Holyhoke girls
who loved the attention
while we drank bottle after bottle
of cheap wine
defiant in the american night
but looking back it was so much easier
then it is now
sluts in bars
and coked out mirrors
blood and roses
into the shimmering black abyss of
nothing
I rode like a white knight
writing words on napkins
to Mount Holyhoke girls
who loved the attention
while we drank bottle after bottle
of cheap wine
defiant in the american night

Memory
only a memory
what time does to us
the lies we invent for ourselves
to save ourselves from the violence
we knew so well as youngsters
the raw innocence of wet pussy
and penetrating cock
the sweet whiff of canabis
taking the perception to another
time zone of being and place
only a memory
in the wet May night
as the Yankees finish the game on television
only a memory

Monet...
the woods behind my house is like Monet's Japanese garden....everyday I see something new in it...

the light this time of the year...
the light this time of the year becomes magical....especially after a rain storm where it can shine of the wet petals...
