I had a good time at the parade. It wasn't that crowded but it was fun seeing the people marching some people I knew from highschool. As I get older I suppose I am getting a little mellower but I don't think that much. I didn't stay for the speeches. I don't believe in the American war machine. The conflicts we are in now are obscene. The apathy of the citizens even more so. I am getting away from myself, however, as I would rather reside in the aesthetic. To this regard later on I would ride my bike over and up to the Whipoorwhill. Deep in the woods away from the culture I found more unity with myself. The sun was doing its magical show and I had a nice hike through the trails. i went down to Donny's bench which some friends had built in Memorial of him. While on the bench I thought of several freinds that had passed on. People like Bowie, Matt, Chin and others...this is the type of Memorial Day I would rather have not one thinking of war in the interest of the corporate state...democracy?...freedom?...that's laughable...it was when I was a so called radical as it is laughable today...
