Hindi Love Poem 'Pehla Prishtha' by Arvind Joshi

I don't care if there is information overload and people have sunk in the miasma of their boredom...I find it fascinating that I can see a videopoem from India...it still blows my mind...I never did appeal to the Madison Avenue virus...

thanks for featuring my poem...:)

Here's a translation - might help enjoy the work...

the first page was of songs
i sang a few, you sang a few
a few turned travellers
and left for their journeys

the first page was of young waves
what was it? do not quite remember now
a few moments, some madness
and youth that is gone

the first page was the first to come
crazy like a first letter
boisterous like first conversations
noisy like first rains on the porch

that first page, the very first
where there was no story, no word
no name even. only pleasure.
my learned one (vidushi), that first page was your touch.

shall we stop now after a few pages read?
perhaps there are celebrations in the street.
perhaps the day is longer outside than it is in here.

come, let us go for a while to a place
where every page of the book is the first page.
