in the fall light I came upon a butter fly that I had crashed to the earth...there were little ants starting to devour it...for the most part it was still in perfect condition....I picked it up and placed it on the bench that I had placed in the woods...the light was coming down in a great golden twilight...I was a bit amazed to see that a monarch was still around at the end of october...it's majestic wings radiating in the the golden light...
