something new...
I always see something new when I go hiking in the city....here I stumbled upon a pond in Morningside Height Park...I had taken the 2 from 14 street and there is an exit a 110 street.

I like moving around to see different views....a juxtaposition of persepctive....listening to Chris Hedges now on cspan....death of the liberal class...he really gets it right...the phoniness of liberals and the absolute corruptiion of the corporate class...

the qua at night...
the qua at night and the relationship of self to landscape...I had come off the train and walked up the woods like I've always done...found out today the neighbors who moved in two years ago are leaving...their junior highschool never even cut through the woods to walk to Bell and they will be gone...no relationship to the landscape...

the myth gone...John Doe says throw all my memories in the dirt...or was that Dyaln?...I forget whose myth is was...it doesn't matter...the myth gone but a new one grows on the relics and debris of the old one whcih was predicated on expression....as far as I am concerned, my expression is greater than ever..it's just that it doesn't correspond to the youthful expectations other had of our myth...around me fractured people...broken, decayed...or sold out...nasty breeders in a nasty game...and the hipsters down in brooklyn play their games and the vegans drift off into thoughts of purity...

The New Year...
I entered the New Year at the Patti Smith show...as always I marvelled at the energy this woman displays....being in the front row, I could see the intensity in her eyes.....i can only wish that I maintain such intensity for the next year...
